University is accepting applications for a
Tenure-Track Assistant Professor/Assistant Clinical Professor of Nursing position.
The primary focus of this role is to teach a
combination of courses and practicums within the Associate of Applied Science in Nursing program at the Montrose campus. Additionally, this position includes responsibilities as the program coordinator
for the AAS in
Nursing program.
Key responsibilities for this position encompass a standard teaching load of 12 course credit hours per semester, with release time granted for program coordination efforts. The duties involve teaching both theoretical and clinical components, advising and evaluating students in the AAS nursing program. Active participation in academic advising and support for a diverse student population is essential. Engaging in program, department, and
university assessment activities, fostering positive relationships with healthcare institutions, attending faculty
meetings, and ongoing professional development are also part of the role. Furthermore, the position includes serving on various university committees, contributing to scholarly activities and community service, participating in tenure track/promotion
processes, and
involvement in
university events.
Applicants must be eligible for or possess a current, good-standing Registered Nurse license in Colorado, have a graduate degree in nursing from a nationally accredited school, and demonstrate knowledge and skills in adult education, teaching methodology, curriculum development, or have a plan to acquire such skills. A graduate degree (PhD or DNP preferred) is required.
The salary ranges from $55,000 to $60,000, commensurate
with education
and experience, and comes with an excellent health and retirement benefits package.
